Outer space & stars

A little, mostly at school. In geography we memorised the order of the planets, and I can still recite them, though I was quite upset when Pluto got demoted. These days whatever I know comes from documentaries I put on while cooking, so my knowledge is wide but very shallow. I do enjoy science fiction, with one condition: there has to be a human story in it. Interstellar made me cry over a father and a bookshelf, whereas films with two hours of spaceships shooting lasers put me to sleep. Stargazing was a real part of my childhood. During power cuts in my grandparents' village in Quang Nam, we'd carry bamboo mats up onto the flat roof, and my grandfather would point out the Milky Way, which he called the Silver River. In Ho Chi Minh City now I can count the visible stars on one hand. Would I go into space? Only as a tourist on a very short trip. I get dizzy on a swing, so I'd probably spend the whole journey with my eyes shut, which seems like a waste of a ticket.
